Dear Friends,

First of all permit me to take this opportunity to thank the members of Nerul Nair Seva Samaj for electing me as the president of the Samaj. For a well established organization, this is a prestigious but only an ornamental post where his duty is only to preside over the committee meetings, General Body meetings and some special functions. But our Samaj is a newly formed organization and is only two years old. However, it can stand on its own legs without any fear or challenge from anybody. A solid foundation was laid by the previous governing body. Now I take this “presidentship” as a challenge to make the Samaj a well established organization within the next two years. So, I cannot rest till this target is achieved. I assure you that I will do my best to fulfill this dream with the whole-hearted support of the present Governing Body members and, above all, from you.

Our immediate goal is to have our own office and some space for conducting our committee meetings, etc in a centrally located area in Nerul.

We have located a suitable place which is sufficient for our immediate requirements. Second goal is to have sufficient fund in the bank which is necessary for applying to CIDCO whenever there is availability of open space in the Nerul node. So to meet these urgent necessities, we have decided to raise a corpus fund of atleast One Crore Rupees with donations from our members, well wishers, souvenir, programmes, interest free loans, etc.

For this purpose, our committee members will be approaching you with an appeal to donate generously for the corpus fund. As I am an old man it will be very difficult for me to visit you all personally, but I assure you that I will be there whenever you need me. Please co-operate. That is all for the time being...

Yes, we need you to get involved in this drive whole-heartedly and make it a grand success by participating in the fund-raising campaign, liberal donation, providing references and subscribing to advertisements.
